Wendy Black Infant Teacher Graduated from The University of Alabama with a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education. Currently working on a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Special Education at UAB. Previous experience includes two years as a teacher assistant in the five year old room. She has been at her current position since 2008.
Nicole Griffin One Year Old Teacher Masters Degree in Early Childhood Special Education from UAB. She has been teaching at Rise since 1998.
Melinda Ingram Two Year Old Teacher Masters Degree in Early Childhood Special Education from UAB. Experience includes three years of teaching in an inclusive preschool in Shelby County and three years of teaching in Early Elementary Special Education in the Tuscaloosa County School System. She has been with Rise since 2005.
Judy Leonard Five Year Old Teacher Masters Degree in Special Education from The University of Alabama. Experience includes more than 25 years as a special education teacher. Began teaching in the four year old room at Rise in 1998 before becoming the five year old teacher.
Sara Nance Four Year Old Teacher Masters Degree in Early Childhood Special Education and Early Childhood Education from The University of Minnesota- Twin Cities. Experience includes five years of teaching in the Minnesota Public School System as a Birth to Three Special Education Teacher. She joined Rise in 2008.
Kim Potter Three Year Old Teacher Masters Degree in Special Education with Early Childhood Certification from Furman University, Greenville, SC. Experience includes 16 years of teaching with 11 years as a public school special education teacher. She joined Rise in 2005.
